How does china score with power distance

Problem: Jess Masem

Part 1

China is an interesting choice. Do you think that the importance of hierarchy in China has helped them catch up, and projectably overtake the US someday in the global economy? China fascinates me on that front too, because of what they have done in the past 40 years. They are clearly doing something right. However, what I would not like, if I lived there, is the way the hierarchy is designed, I very much like working on my own, or in a self managed team, and frankly, I very much like patting myself on the back for a job well done, I don't have time to wait for someone else to come give me an attaboy.

Part 2

How does China score with power distance?

Noe et al. (2018) defines power distance with the way the culture deals with unequal distribution of power and defines the amount of inequality that is normal (per Hofstede's study of culture). In countries with small power distances, people try to eliminate inequities.

The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
