Paper Assignment

Choose one of the following two topics:
• Write a short intellectual biography of Deng Xiaoping based on the primary sources about him in the Documents reader (20.5, 22.5, 23.2, 24.1, and 26.5). In your paper, you should seek to explain and account for the enormous changes in tone between these documents. How did he transform over the course of his life? In what ways does he remain consistent?
• Compare the establishment of the PRC to the establishment of the Qing dynasty. In what ways did they resemble each other, and in what ways did they differ? Use at least 5 different sources from the Documents reader to support your argument.
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the assignment, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
