Consider the use of government supported mass surveillance technologies in the UK, the US, and many other western nations. How are these system similar (e.g. in terms of the technology they use, and how they use that technology) to mass surveillance systems used to maintain social credit scores in China? How are these system fundamentally different in terms of their intended use.
