Hi I want someone that knows how to optimize a dedicated server for running a large MS SQL database driven site, basically I am a developer but am not very familiar when it comes to application pools and how to best optimize services on the server.
The website does not need to manage thousands of visitors at once it's more a case of probably 30-40 at any one time but it has a very detailed search facility that uses a MS SQL database with over 30 million records so this is why i need to optimize, as each search i think does use alot of resources but only for small amount of time.
It's running on a virtual server so i can simply up processing and memory but I want some expertise before i go ahead and just add more hardware power.
Skills required are SQL, Windows Server
