Problem
Search for a study related to chronic disease prevention. Chronic disease includes cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, obesity, cancer, or diabetes. The study can be related to reduced hospitalizations, health promotion, disease prevention, or improved screening. You can use the PMI Library or internet for your search, but you must use an academic source for your study.
In your first post, complete the following thoroughly:
i. Describe the study.
ii. Give background on the status of the problem. Provide data such as prevalence and incidence in the population.
iii. Describe the intervention.
iv. Describe the outcome of the study.
v. Analyze the study design. Are there any issues of concern? Is the definition of a case clearly defined? Was the sample size appropriate? What is the significance of the study?
