Gerryrsquos gas station has just one pump and lots of

Gerry’s Gas Station has just one pump (and lots of waiting) in a very small town. During a normal day, customers arrive at Gerry’s on the average of 15 every two hours, while service takes just five minutes on the average. The arrival rate is Poisson distributed (time between is exponential) and service time is exponential. Since there’s nothing to do at Gerry’s except get gas, you would think that if he can serve 12 customers per hour and only 7.5 arrive, that there would be no waiting. Gerry wants to simulate this because he swears that something must be wrong because he sometimes has 2 or 3 customers waiting and customers are spending sometimes as much as 20 minutes waiting to get gas. Is this possible given the parameters of the problem?
