After making your selection, examine the law of your home state and determine how your state defines and differentiate between Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Once you have completed your research compose an Initial Post in which you:
- Discuss the laws in your home state on secured transactions, liens, judgments and exemptions, and the role they play in federal bankruptcy.
- Analyze and explain whether corporate culture might influence a company's ethical decision to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
- Describe what a security interest is as it relates to bankruptcy, and discuss who should be considered responsible for investor losses.
