Find the second-law efficiencies for both stages of turbine

Problem

1. The condenser in a refrigerator receives R-134a at 700 kPa, 50oC and it exits as saturated liquid at 25oC. The flow rate is 0.1 kg/s, and the condenser has air flowing in at ambient 15oC and leaving at 35oC. Find the minimum flow rate of air and the heat exchanger second-law efficiency.

2. A flow of steam at 10 MPa, 550oC goes through a two-stage turbine. The pressure between the stages is 2 MPa, and the second stage has an exit at 50 kPa. Assume both stages have an isentropic efficiency of 85%. Find the second-law efficiencies for both stages of the turbine.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
