Female with pmh of hypertension and hyperlipidemia

Problem: MZ is a 79-year-old female with PMH of hypertension and hyperlipidemia who presents to clinic with her husband for annual physical appointment. Vitals: BP: 142/86 HR: 72 SpO2: 98% Height: 5'3" Weight: 105lbs Medications: Lisinopril 10mg QD Amlodipine 5mg QD Atorvastatin 40mg QD Calcium/vitamin D 1200mg/1000 IU QD MZ states that she is doing "just fine," but her husband reports she is becoming more and more forgetful. He reports that she forgot about her appointment today, and he had to remind her which is unusual for her. She also frequently forgets where she parks at the grocery store and commonly requires assistance with finding her reading glasses. You perform an MMSE screening, and the result is 22. 1. What common side effects would you counsel them on? When should they expect to see a benefit in treatment (aka adequate trial)? 2. When you would like to see MZ in clinic again?
