Fair compensation is so important

Discuss the following in 100 words:

KFC was a company or should I say franchise that has been in the media the last few years for employees compensations lawsuits. I read an article in the New York Post which said 13 New York City KFC branches were accused of not paying employees overtime and other pay issues which effected over 700 workers. The franchise operator; Divine Investors was found to commit many labor laws violations and in turn settled out to pay out 375,000. Some of the violations including consisting stiffing employees out of overtime pay hours, underpaying managers, failing to provide workers with a uniform allowance, and forcing cashiers to pay cash register shortages out of pocket. Also the company was said to have brought 27 new locations in New York under different names which will be closely monitored by the Attorney General.

Fair compensation is so important because so many people especially fast food workers usually work pay check to paycheck and are making minimum wages. It's imperative that these workers receive the pay and compensation they deserve. Already working in unfair conditions, some single parents are working just to get by for themselves and family. Then these workers are dealing with food for the public. If I was getting treated unfairly I wouldn't work to the best of my ability therefore could not perform my job duties properly. I can only imagine how these conditions effect employees work performance which cannot be good for neither the company, it's workers or the customers.
