Question: This article explores the obstacles of partial heart transplants in children with congenital heart conditions. The main concern is whether transplanted heart valves can safely grow as the child's heart grows into adulthood. A study was conducted with 19 patients who had partial heart transplants, and the results showed that, "all valves demonstrated functional durability and growth over time with maintenance immunosuppression." Although the findings in this small study were positive, there is still need for more in-depth research before its universally accepted as successful. Need Assignment Help?
