In many more years to come, both wireless communication and security will continue to be an intriguing subject. Wireless communication and security fields are a representation of the need of easy use of communication flexibility especially in the computer world where communicated content can be easily jeopardized. This development is an illustration of major security concepts in the security of wireless networks. The security in wireless communication is explained in this paper using the main specifications like WLAN, WPA, WMAN (Wireless Metropolitan Access Network), WEP and WAP2. In conclusion, this paper explains current suggestion with regard to protecting wireless communication along with chosen examples of recent proposals.
