Problem
You have recently completed your on boarding at ANZ Travel and are coming up to your 3-month probationary period. In preparation for your review, the Senior Travel Consultant has asked you to collect evidence to demonstrate your knowledge of the organization's GDS. This is to cover off on all the areas of training you have received in the travel agency, proving that you are capable of continuing on as a permanent staff member. Your first area of training has been in accessing and using information on the system, and the Senior Travel Consultant wants you to provide evidence for the criteria listed below.
A. Accessed at least three system displays (screens, sections or fields).
B. Explained the contents of the three displays accessed.
C. Described how those three displays might be used in day-to-day workplace travel agency activities
D. Entered three enquiries (questions or searches) into the system.
E. Accessed the system to acquire at least three different pieces of internal agency-based information about the venue and/or its products or services
F. Accessed the system to acquire at least three different pieces of external information relating to (for example) destinations, accommodation, flights, tours etc
G. Adhered to accepted industry response timeframes when corresponding with customers and reflecting requests in bookings (24 hours).
