1. Abby and Brian are rolling carts of equal mass down a frictionless inclined plane. Abby is doing this experiment on the surface of the moon. One second after they both release their carts, they find that one of their carts is moving ten times faster than the others cart. Whose cart is moving faster, and how do you know?
2. Say you wanted to test how different masses and different spring constants affected the period of oscillation of a mass on a spring. Explain why for each new test you should only change the mass you use, or only change the spring you use, but not change both at the same time.
3. Brad is enjoying a sip of his tasty beverage through a straw when Jules pinches the straw slightly. Brad, being the thinker that he is, hypothesizes that the pressure of the flowing beverage in the now-constricted section must have increased. Jules disagrees. Who do you agree with, and why?
