Problem
Imagine that your community needed more support for youth sports programs. i need help typing a letter to a local business owner, a professional athlete, or another adult who might be able to help. i need to ask for support from this person. also i need to be sure to explain the problem and why money is needed. Then i have to suggest what the person might do to help. i also need to be sure to include information about the Up2Us report, obesity, and crime. my letter should follow the standard format for letters. Read and understand the Writing.
1) The Writing Problem asks me to write a letter to a business owner, athlete, or another adult.
2) First Paragraph: The Writing Problem tells me to first to explain what kind of problem exists in your community.
3) Second Paragraph: The Writing Problem also tells me to explain why money (or i could ask for donations or their time) is needed to solve this problem.
4) Third Paragraph: the Writing Problem asks me to persuade the person to help.
a) To persuade i need to use the three persuasive techniques: ethics (morals and values), emotions (feelings and sympathy), and logic (studies, experience, and experts)
