Suppose that one of the 2024 Presidential candidates is Donald Drump, a blow-hard who came from a very rich family, ran a number of companies into bankruptcy, and then became a reality TV star. During a speech, Drump said the following: "My first job is going to be to get control of the Federal Reserve. They need to quit listening to a bunch of macroeconomists with bad haircuts and start doing what I tell them to do." Explain to President Drump how the Fed is structured and why this means he is unlikely to quickly force his will on them.
