Assignment: Immigrants
There has been a lot of talk around town about immigrants (both legal and illegal) coming to the U.S. and being employed in jobs that have traditionally hired American workers. Due to the current unemployment rate in the U.S., this is causing some heated debates between politicians. As a spokesperson with the DHS, you have been asked to speak to the local community about this issue. Your job is to explain the facts and quell the rumors involving the migration of immigrants to the U.S.
Create a 2 to 3 pages report in a Microsoft Word document that includes the answers to the following questions:
i. Highlight differences between a legal immigrant and an illegal immigrant?
ii. From the view of each of the following groups: prospective employers, immigrants, community members, politicians, and law enforcement, explain the benefits and the consequences of hiring immigrants in the U.S.?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
