1. Describe your cultural background- how you perceive your heritage. What your culture means to you. How you came to live where you live currently. What about your culture helps define who you are as a person today.

2. Explain how children and the birth of a child are viewed in your culture - is one gender desired more than another gender.

3. If possible interview your parent or relative and ask him/her how your mother's pregnancy was. Ask if you were full-term, how much you weighed, your mother's attitude toward pregnancy, and any other questions or information that the relative shares.

4. Discuss why was your name chosen? Does it have any special meaning.

5. Discuss when you were born, were there any big celebrations.

6. Discuss if you were you breast-fed or bottle-fed? If not, why not.

7. Discuss when you began to eat solid food and what was the first solid food that you ate.

8. Discuss if anyone took care of you other than your parent. If so, who? Do you have any personal memories of this person? Please share.

9. Discuss your first school experience. Describe - give details about whether it was positive or negative and why you think you remember what you remember.

10. Explain how you feel that heredity has influenced who you are as an individual. Heredity are your genetics - things that you inherit from your family- physical appearance, some personality traits, temperament, etc....

11. Explain how you feel the environment has influenced your development. Your environment has to do with people around you growing up, politics,society, immediate neighborhood, etc....

12. With what you know about attachment, how might writing your own story to be valuable to the work you do/will do with children, families and the community in your selected field?
