1. Explain the major historical foundations of psychological testing evaluation in I/O settings and describe how it has changed due to the American Disabilities Act. Discuss how individuals with disabilities were historically discriminated against by the use of psychological tests for employment.
2. What is the present knowledge and issues concerning the assessment and the hiring of persons with disabilities, including those with learning, visual and other handicaps? What type of disabilities may be faced by organizations?
3. What are some of the widely utilized assessment and measure tools used for the purpose of assessing persons with disabilities for employment selection and training?
4. What are some of the pro and con's of employing persons with disabilities in terms of training, promotion and leadership roles?
5. How do organizations work around the ADA requirement in terms of NOT selecting candidates who are not the best candidates for the job and the success of the organization? How is this done legally? Illegally?
6. Offer your opinion on how you think the ADA requirements might need to be changed (or not) to meet the needs of employers and employees.
