Create a 5- to 8-PowerPoint slides or 2-3 minute multi-media presentation. Includes a written version of your actual ‘talk' - The "talk" is 350 to 700 words that is in the Speaker Notes.
What you would say, using Speaker Notes and slides answers and illustrates the following:
· In what ways have music and radio shaped American culture and its values?
· Identify and introduce your favorite musician, band, or type of music.
· Explain how American culture and social behavior have been shaped by the music you listen to.
· Conclude your presentation by summarizing how audio media either reflect or influence social behavior and attitudes.
The content is comprehensive, accurate, and persuasive.
· Presentation includes visual aids and utilizes elegant graphics.
· Text is used correctly for the multimedia type.
· Appropriate font sizes are used.
Speaker notes are included that contain the details of the content.
Answers reflect critical thought, an understanding of the course materials, and are comprehensive in nature. Major points are clearly stated and supported.
The introduction provides sufficient background on the topic and previews major points.
The conclusion is logical, flows from the body of the paper, and reviews the major points.
Readability and Style.
The tone is appropriate to the content and assignment.
Sentence and slide transitions are present and maintain the flow of thought.
The presentation is laid out with effective use of headings, font styles, and white (or open) space.
Mechanics
The presentation and speaker notes -including tables and graphs, headings, title slide, and reference slide- is consistent with academic guidelines. Intellectual property is recognized with in-text citations and a reference slide.
Rules of grammar, usage, and punctuation are followed.
Texting language is not permitted in any assignment.
Spelling is correct.
