In the industry, all terms are used indistinctly and frequently together. Several manufacturers describe fittings as the fixing elements, as connectors, machined ends, ferrules, bezel rings and tubular rivets, reserving the term fixtures for large components, swivel rings and pool luminaries. Other manufacturers utilize the term fitting to explain anything at the end of the fibers.
