Introduction to Philosophy
You will be writing an argumentative essay comparing two of the theorists that we have covered thus far. You will begin by choosing two of the following philosophers to discuss: Descartes, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, or Kant. Then you will explain each theorist's views regarding knowledge and how it is acquired. After you have established each theorist's views, you will then explain which theorist provides the most plausible view and why. Finally, you will explain why it is important that one adopt the views of the theorist you choose to discuss; in other words, what social implications might arise from taking, or not taking, this point of view, and why is this important?
