Problem
Wannabee Famous, a mediocre but aggressive figure skater, will do everything it takes to win an Olympic gold medal. In her quest, she agrees to pay her bodyguard a salary of $100,000 per year for 2 years until the next Olympic Games in exchange for his promise to provide body guard services to all of her events plus his promise to assault several of her competitors a few days before major matches.
After a few matches, Wannabee decides the Olympics are not that big of a deal and she no longer wishes to compete. She retires from skating and embarks on a new career as a lecturer on sports ethics. She lands a book deal with a major publisher to write book on "Making the Most of What Little Talent You Have". Her bodyguard, furious at Wannabee's quick career change, sues for breach of their employment contract. Is there a contract between the parties? Why or why not?
