Review and examine the past and current demographic trends within the homeless population; look at how the negative perceptions of the poor and homeless impact funding and service provision. How this is constituted with being a social problem; is it complex based on causes and risk factors, including: domestic violence, substance abuse, mental illness, and physical disabilities. As a future human service professional; do you believe programming is a great way to offer social services to deal with homelessness?
