Discussion Post: Race and Ethnicity in the Economy
In module three, we explore race and ethnicity in the economy. Our objectives this week are to:
1) Define "income" and "wealth;"
2) Recall statistics on income and wealth disparities among whites and people of color;
3) Explain why economic racial disparities exist;
4) Determine why some immigrant groups might be more likely to achieve economic success than others; and
5) Examine affirmative action and white welfare.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
