A couple of days ago Kate (26 yo) purchased a pregnancy test kit from you as her period was a week late. She comes back to you excited but worried at the same time because the test was positive however when she was in hospital she was injected with a lot of strong antibiotics to treat her burst appendix. As she was only discharged two weeks ago she is worried about what effects that will have on her child as she found a website called right diagnosis which stated that her antibiotics caused birth defects. Kate asks for your opinion about the risks and asks if it might be better to get an abortion.
