Background: A brief history of the Bangladesh Liberation war and the formation of ICT and its functions

Aims and objectives: Critically investigate the legitimate perspectives emanating from the 1971 massacre and highlight prospects that can help Bangladesh to guarantee Justice with fairness for the accused. Conduct a reassessment of contemporary International Criminal Law principles and standards to help the existing trial. This research will also explain causes behind the fact in a country where a genocide and war crime committed by Pakistani Army and its local collaborators and the challenges to provide retributive justice to the accused as they belong to well established political parties in Bangladesh and controversies surrounding the present government’s intention and how it is observed by the Bangladeshi and international community.
