Long essay would be a traditional essay which typically five paragraphs long. The first paragraph must introduce the topic and state the student's position or answer to the question. It must contain between three to five complete sentences, comprising the thesis statement for the essay. The second, third and fourth paragraphs are the body paragraphs. The fifth and final paragraph must start with a restatement of the thesis.
