Problem: A quasi-experimental study evaluating the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) across 210 schools in Pennsylvania over a two-year period found significant reductions in bullying incidents and increases in empathy among students. The effects were more pronounced with longer implementation of the program (Limber et al., 2018). This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the OBPP in decreasing bullying among U.S. students, with a 2-4% reduction representing a substantial number of children benefiting from improved school environments (Limber et al., 2018).
