Additionally, they help determine what accommodations and modifications will be most helpful. Individualized assessments not only help teachers to individualize instruction, but they also help parents to better understand their child's needs (Council for Exceptional Children, 2025). There are a number of impacts that could result from failing to access the correct areas. Failing to assess the correct areas might lead to misdiagnosis or missed diagnoses.
