Spacing of the two chains The fourth layer line is conspicuously missing from the diffraction pattern. Use this information to estimate the distance a between the two DNA chains. Keep in mind that this missing line might not correspond to the first minimum of the diffraction pattern envelope (but instead to the second or third one).
