The assigment is a research and review task in which you have to write an essay on the Topic: Environmental and physical impacts of events – a critical overview.
Below are the requirements for your third assessment component:
1. You are required to produce a 2500 word semi-structured essay on one of the following topics:
o A critical analysis of the social and/or socio-cultural impacts of events
o Environmental and physical impacts of events – a critical overview
o The economic impacts of events – a critical overview
2. The essay must be written in a scholarly manner and utilise a variety of relevant academic and other sources
FURTHER GUIDANCE:
1. Your essay must be supported with relevant academic sources, in addition to any contemporary sources you will be using.
2. All sources used must be referenced appropriately, using the Harvard referencing style.
3. You are required to do in-depth independent research around the topic you have chosen – some useful sources have been mentioned in the lectures and seminars, but you are required to find the majority of the sources you will be using through your own independent desk research.
