Problem:
I do believe that active supervision is an effective strategy for ensuring the safety of children in my care because when you are actively supervising the children there is less of a chance for anyone to be injured or for anyone to get lost or left behind. I feel the most important component of active supervision is staff positioning because you can always observe all children, you can keep a count of them and you can actively listen to them. When using staff positioning adults carefully plan where they will position themselves so they are in a good position to see everyone. I do not know of any other strategies for active supervision but I am curious to know more. These six provide a good layout of how active supervision is supposed look but if there is more to add to this list I would like to learn about them because there is not all strategies work all the time so the more the better.
