Economic forecast from a business publication

Part 1.

Choose an economic forecast from a business publication such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, the business section of The New York Times, other. Find an explanation/section that isn’t easy to understand. (This part of the assignment shouldn’t be hard to do.) Then try to translate your selection into understandable English. (This part of the assignment probably will be more difficult.)

Part 2.

After you complete step 1,

a. first postin Blackboard both the original forecast
b. and then your translation/explanation that you translated for someone else.

Your assignment is to write for an audience that is intelligent, interested, educated, but uninformed about economic forecasts, so choose a person who is not familiar with economics writing or with the terms used in those forecasts.

Part 3.

If necessary, revise your translation from economics to English. If you have to edit your translation to help your victim understand the forecast, give your new translation to that person. I understand that you might not have to revise your translation from Part 2, b above. You might write a clear translation into English on your first attempt.
