Dr. James Cone, one of America's best known architects of Black Liberation Theology presents different approach strategically apply to Martin Luther and Malcolm x to their particular audiences. Martin Luther believe in non-violent factor in the north while Malcolm x specifically rely on defense mechanism in the south. In fact, segregation did not have much effect in the north because laws already passed and the whites agreed to abide superstitiously. Malcolm was more successful in the South because they were the ones forgotten, maltreated, disrespected and all those treacherous they to endure every day. They had no choice but to attack the enemy to regain their freedom. Despite those distinctive views, these two transcendent leaders influence and determine the scope and tone of the civil rights struggle and black power movement. Through their philosophy and leadership, they set the moral and social agenda for much of the second half of the twentieth century, laying the foundation for a more democratic society and the election of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. Martin achieved his bona fides in the South and Malcolm achieved his in the North. Those towering activists with different perspective, audiences accomplish the greatest moment in history; with the same ultimate goal of freedom. Today, any African American man has the right and privilege to become the president of the United States of America.
