Assignment task: Consonant Articulation
- Does your subject have challenges with particular consonant sounds? Are these sounds in the same environments (i.e., initial position, final position).
- Do these sounds have any articulatory feature in common? (i.e., aspiration, voiceless fricatives, palatalization).
- Does your subject have trouble with the /θ/ or /ð/ sounds? What about with the English /r/?
- Do most speakers from the native language of your subject have similar problems?
- Are some consonant sounds deleted? (where? Mid position, final word position).
