Do you think lora is conveying a message about her safety

Problem

Lora is a 55-year-old Irish woman who lives in her three-bedroom old house. She has disseminated multiple sclerosis - a chronic progressive nervous disorder involving loss of myelin sheath around certain nerve fibres.

You are working as a carer from the Rosedale home care team. You are visiting Lora at her home for her initial assessment to provide services under the HACC program.

While you were explaining her rights, you noticed multiple disruptions. As her house is near a construction site, loud noise was coming at regular intervals from extensive refurbishment and modification of a nearby old building. Lora confided in you that she does not feel safe near her husband, and you suspect she is a victim of domestic violence.

Her husband also interrupted you on a few occasions and pushed you to complete your assessments as soon as possible and leave their house. Their front wall was broken, and people walking past can look in, and each time there is noise or another outside distraction, Lora loses concentration.

i. Do you think Lora is conveying a message about her safety in the house? Explain
ii. Mention three effective listening strategies that can be implemented in the given scenario?
