Problem:
As a DNP leader, you have been asked to chair the Patient Safety Quality Council looking at healthcare delivery outcomes. The group has been charged with developing a scorecard that can be used by individual hospital units to review their scores with leadership and with staff. The scorecard will also be used to trend quality indicators as new evidence-based interventions are introduced into practice.
Provide a scorecard using the nursing quality specific indicators from
- National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators
- HCAHPS nursing-specific questions
- Patient quality and safety indicators
- Nursing quality specific indicators.
- Indicators could include: CAUTI, MRSA, C diff, Surgical Site infections (Hysterectomy, Colon surgery), Mortality rates, 30-day readmissions and hand hygiene which are benchmarks of the indicators based on the National Healthcare Safety Network
