Discussion about separation anxiety


Problem: Some things that I observed this week was keeping calm to help with separation anxiety as well as making the room inviting with fun songs and activities upon arrival. Helping the children acknowledge their feelings as well as transition into the school day. In my experience, there is not much record keeping to do in the three year old room other than observation notes and if there is an incident report that needs to be filled out. We do naptime differently if a child is having a difficult time falling asleep then we will go lay down next to them and comfort them. I feel that the centers were also age appropriate and everyone seemed engaged in group the whole time.
