Utilize the Leverage Leadership Instructional Leader Rubric found on the Leverage Leadership DVD to evaluate your current administrator. Make notes of the overall strengths and areas of growth/goals for each area measured directly on the rubric. Do NOT show or discuss this rubric rating with your administrator.
- Analyze the rubric results (rating given and your notes about your administrator's strengths and areas of growth/goals). Summarize the strengths and areas of growth/goals (weaknesses) in each of the 4 areas (data-driven instruction, instructional planning, observation and feedback, professional development) you have observed in your administrator. Support your determinations of effectiveness by citing evidence from research.

- Write about 3 personal strengths and 3 areas of needed growth as mentioned in your summary. Provide an example or explanation for each personal strength and weakness you identify.
- Develop a plan of improvement for yourself in the skills you deem personal areas of weakness or needing growth. Include a realistic timeline for implementing your improvement plan.
- Discuss your self-evaluation results with your administrator. Summarize the input you get from your principal when you discuss YOUR plan for YOUR improvement. Based on this conversation, include any adjustments you will make to your improvement plan. Remember - Do NOT show or discuss your administrator's rubric rating with your administrator.
