Problem: On the history of Australian social policy it will be clear that throughout our short history, we have adopted many approaches to welfare provision. What are your thoughts on the approach to welfare that is most compatible with the core ethics and values of the human service profession (for example, those outlined in our codes of ethics)? If this system is not similar to our current approach to welfare, what do you think it would take to move us toward this more ethical system and what might be some of the objections other Australian's might have to this approach?
