Assignment task: Current Events Article Review:
Students will skim the daily or weekly news highlights (online) for articles pertaining to any of the sociology related topics outlined in the book. Students are encouraged to reference these news sources and current articles as they relate to text readings and class discussions. Students will be required to select one article for review. In your review summarize the main points of the article; identify what topic of sociology it relates to, and include a reflective piece (Do you agree/disagree with the article? What have you learned? etc.). Make sure to post a link to the article so others can reference it. Be sure to comment on at least 3 peers articles review to get full credit.
