Discussing rights-responsibilities of employer-employee


Assignment task:

There has to be a good employer-employee relationship in order for a business or an organization to prosper. And good way to establish such relationship is by correctly discussing the rights and responsibilities of employer and employee, respectively.

Employees who are part-time or full time have different responsibilities to their employers. A good example of this is doing their assigned task or work properly and correctly. And they should always focused and goal-oriented in performing their tasks. They should also avoid any danger that may harm them or their co-workers at all times. And lastly, they should always follow what their employer's instructions as long as it was not for a bad intention. On the other hand, employees are also entitled to different rights like for example the labor rights which directs employers to give a reasonable compensation which is not below the minimum wage. Employees are also entitled of overtime pay, a good working environment that is not detrimental to their health. And also a working environment that does not discriminate the employee's race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and nationality.

If employees have underlying rights, employers also have different responsibilities to their employees. Employers should promote and observe the OSHA Workers Rights and Protection which is to provide a workplace free from serious hazards to the employees. Employers should also conform to the basic workplace conditions of OSHA. It is also the employer's responsibility to provide a safety tools to ensure the security of their employees at work. Employers should also make a working environment that is inclusive of all types of workers regardless of their race, color, religion, sexuality, nationality and disability. And lastly, employers should abide with the labor laws to make sure that their employees are being compensated fairly and to provide them what they truly deserve.
