Discusses the role of profits in a firm - profits are what

Discusses the role of profits in a firm.

I think too often too many people think of "profits" as a bad word.

In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Profits are what we get from serving the needs of others in ways they find beneficial.

Somehow, some people have gotten it in their head that being a "non-profit" somehow makes a firm more beneficial, more noble, more altruistic, and just overall "better" than for-profit firms.

In reality, many non-profits are grossly mismanaged and highly inefficient. Write at least a couple pages double spaced about the role of profits in firms, and in society.

How do profits reflect serving the needs of customers, and firms? Are "excessive profits" even a thing we should consider?
