Discuss why phosphorous acid has two buffer ranges

Acetic acid can be used to make a buffer in the single range among the pH 5.74 and 3.75. But phosphorous acid can be used to make a buffer among two ranges: one between pH 1 and 3, and the among pH 6.6 and 8.6. Discuss why phosphorous acid has two buffer ranges, whereas the acetic acid only has one buffer range.
