As you will quickly realize, Wes Anderson is known for his extensive use of Production Design. The clip from the Royal Tenenbaums is the opening of the film. It introduces us to the central characters of the story. Pay attention to how the Elements of Design are used in the scene to inform us about the characters.
What is something specific you learn about each character, specifically though the Elements of Design. Make three observations for each character:

The next film Wes Anderson made after The Royal Tenenabums was The Life Aquatic. This scene "Let me tell you about my boat" introduces the audience to the Belafonte, the ship where most of the film takes place. Pay attention to how Wes Anderson continues this idea of a "dollhouse effect" to introduce us to the setting.
