Case Study
I was 16 years old and living at home when I came out as bisexual to my mum and her boy friend. He said I was disgusting. He told me I will be a a bad influence on my sisters. He wanted me to leave. He said to my mum that she had to choose between me or him: She choose him.
i. What are the ethical concepts such as those pertaining to freedom, rights, responsibilities, and the use of power in care which apply to this situation?
ii. Discuss the overview of the case study and the issues.
iii. Discussion of freedom, rights, responsibilities, and the use of power in care, beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, justice, human rights, and duty of care, privacy or other aspects of the principles of ethics that may have been violated in relation to the case study, consider Jamie and Jamie family.
iv. Discuss at least one ethical theory such as deontology, utilitarianism, virtue ethics, and how it might apply to the case study.
