The main modes used for advertising job vacancies currently are headhunting and newspaper advertisements. This industry is known for high turnover which has led to a significant increase in training costs in the organization. In order, to meet their goals it is expected that Human Resources curb the level of turnover which is about 30% when it should be 12%. This industry is also quite competitive, as a result, the benefits package offered must meet industry standards. Employees must be willing to work sixty to ninety hours a week at TechSmart if the project requires, as well as dedication to and passion for customers, the firm, and the project team. The CEO may start people out with salaries slightly below the industry average, but he rewards performance and tenure. He's reputed to double a salary when an engineer exceeds expectations. He also contributes his company's stock to the employee's benefits package, subject to their length of employment.
