Problem
Frank owns and operates the Northern Arms, a pub and restaurant in County Louth. Jessica and her pals are out celebrating her 30th birthday on a busy night there. Jessica and the others have been enjoying their meal, wine and cocktails for the last couple of hours. Her friend Samantha goes to the ladies' bathroom which is located downstairs, she takes hold of the railing as she walks down the steps but suddenly it gives way from the wall, Samantha was leaning on it as she was mid step and wearing her high heels, she is utterly startled and cannot prevent herself falling forward. She tumbles down a half dozen steps and lands heavily on the floor. She suffers cuts, extensive bruising to her face and arms and an ankle fracture. Meanwhile another pal Catherine decides to demonstrate her dancing skills to everybody and clambers onto the table in the restaurant. Unfortunately, her footing is rather unsteady and just as she stands on the table, she slips and falls onto the ground, chipping a front tooth and spraining her wrist in the process.
In the pub, Lewis and a few friends are watching some football. Lewis bought the latest iPhone earlier that week and has been rather proudly showing it to everyone around him. He goes up to the bar to order a round of pints and it takes a few minutes, as the place is crowded. He reaches into his pocket for his phone but realises he left it on the table behind him. He turns back to the table but cannot find it anywhere and nobody noticed its disappearance. By the front door of the pub is a sign that says, "Management takes no responsibility for accidents or injuries on the premises and will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended on theses premises."
