Discussion:
The American Party System has only two major political parties. It also has the lowest voter turnout rate among other Western democracies. Some site the lack of choice in parties as one of the reasons our voter turn-out is so low. In this post, you should:
1) Research the question of why we only have two parties, and discuss the factors that create a two-party system, and
2) Discuss a third party that exists in the U.S. today, what it's platform is, and why you think this party would be good for the United States. Be sure to pick a third-party whose ideas you are attracted to ONLY after reading about the party and what it stands for.
